Family Lifestyle Session at Leo Carillo Ranch, Carlsbad, CA
Originally built over 25 years ago by the Hollywood actor and Preservationist, Leo Carillo, today's historic Ranch site serves as a beacon of education, outreach and community service in Carlsbad, CA. Often booked as a wedding venue, this is an awesome spot to have your family photos taken! Oh, and did I mention all the peacocks wandering around? (Seriously, you need to go there in March/April when it's mating season for the best tail displays!)
I met up with the B family this past weekend for a morning session and we had a great time checking out the peacocks and the beautiful scenery here! I first shot this adorable family last year when mama was still expecting little sister and big brother Morgan was still reveling in only-childom. But he has taken on the role of big brother seamlessly, with a perfect balance of both brotherly pestering and careful protection. And little Emma, her smile just melts my heart. I wanted to take her right on home with me! Aren't they just the cutest??
